The Suzuki GS 850G was a motorcycle produced by Suzuki between 1985 and 1988. It had a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder engine with DOHC and two valves per cylinder. The engine capacity was 843cc and the bore and stroke were 69mm and 56.4mm respectively. The cooling system was air-cooled and the compression ratio was 8.8:1. The bike had 4 x mm Mikuni carburetors and a transistorized ignition system. It could be started electrically or with a kick start. The wet weight of the bike was 253kg and the fuel capacity was 22 liters. The average fuel consumption was 5.5L/100km (18.3km/l or 43 US mpg / 51.6 Imp mpg), and the top speed was 191km/h (119mph).
