The Suzuki DR 500S (1982) is a 4-stroke, single cylinder motorcycle with a capacity of 498 cc (30.4 cu in) and a compression ratio of 8.9:1. It has a wet sump lubrication system and a Mikuni 35SS, slingshot induction. The bike produces a maximum power of 26 kW (36 hp) at 6500 rpm and a maximum torque of 42 Nm (31 lb-ft) at 5000 rpm. The DR 500S has a ground clearance of 270 mm (10.6 in) and is suitable for off-road and on-road riding.
