The Suzuki DR 250S was a four-stroke, single-cylinder motorcycle produced by Suzuki from 1982-1983. Its engine featured SOHC and TSCC technology, with a capacity of 249cc and a compression ratio of 8.9:1. The bike had air cooling, a wet sump lubrication system, and used a Mikuni VM28SS carburetor for induction. The ignition was transistorized and the motorcycle started with a kick. The bike produced a maximum power of 16.5 kW at 8,700 rpm and a maximum torque of 19.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. It had a wet, multi-plate clutch and a 5-speed, constant mesh transmission. The bike had a chain final drive and its front suspension was air/oil telescopic forks with 148mm wheel travel. The rear suspension was gas/oil full floater, with preload and damping adjustable and 148mm wheel travel. The front and rear brakes were drum, internal expanding, and the front tire size was 3.00-21, 4PR.
