Suzuki DR 125 (1982-89)

The Suzuki DR 125S was a motorcycle produced from 1982 to 89 with a four-stroke, single cylinder, SOHC, 4 valve, 124cc capacity engine. It had a compression ratio of 9.5:1 and was air-cooled with wet sump lubrication. The TEIKEI S22P/Mikuni 22mm provided induction while the ignition system was PEI pointless CDI. The bike was kick-started and had a 6V, 6Ah battery. It had a maximum power output of 7.3 kW/10 hp at 9500 rpm and maximum torque of 10 Nm at 8000 rpm. The clutch was a wet, cable-operated system and the five-speed transmission was chain-driven. The front suspension featured air/oil telescopic forks with 160mm wheel travel while the rear suspension was gas/oil full floater, preload and damping adjustable with 180mm wheel travel. Both the front and rear brakes were drum-braked with tyres size 2.75-21 in front and 3.50-17 at the rear. The bike had a length of 2095mm, a wheelbase of 1345mm, ground clearance of 265mm, and seat height of 820mm. Dry weight was 95kg while wet weight was 112kg. It had an 8.5-litre fuel capacity and an average consumption of 3.5L/100 km. The top speed of the bike was 95 km/h.
