The Sherco 4.5i Supermotard motorcycle was released in 2008 and features a four-stroke, single-cylinder, SOHC, 4-valve engine with a capacity of 448.6cc. The engine is cooled by liquid and has a 12.0:1 compression ratio with electronic fuel injection/digital engine management. The frame is built from chrome-molybdenum forming a single structure. The front suspension is a 46mm Paioli/Kayaba telescopic fork with forward offset wheel axle and brake calliper. The rear suspension is a progressive system with a single Paioli absorber with an aluminium structure and is fully adjustable. The brakes are single 270mm disc at the front and single 240mm disc at the rear. The front tyre size is 3.50-17 and the rear is 5.00-17. The motorcycle has a wheelbase of 1485 mm, a seat height of 885 mm, and a ground clearance of 350 mm. The dry weight is 109 kg with a fuel capacity of 8.5 litres.
