The Paton 500 V90 motorcycle was produced from 1976-1985 and featured a four-cylinder, 2-stroke, liquid-cooled engine with a capacity of 492cc. It had 4 valves per cylinder and used 4 Dell’Orto 34mm carburetors. The ignition was electronic with variable advance from Dansi. The clutch was dry and multiplate. The bike had a maximum power output of 69.9 kW (95 hp) at 11,000 RPM. The transmission had 6 speeds and the final drive was a chain. The frame was made of tubular steel chrome-molybdenum. The front suspension featured telescopic forks from Ceriani R 35mm, and the rear suspension was a tubular swingarm with a Ceriani R monoshock. Braking was provided by a 254mm double disc Fountain brake on the front and a single 254mm disc on the rear.
