The Norton Nemesis motorcycle was produced in 1998 and was powered by a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 60 degree V8 cylinder engine with double overhead cams and four valves per cylinder. The engine had a capacity of 1479cc and a bore x stroke of 73 x 44.7 mm. The MBE fuel injection system provided fuel to the engine and it could be started electrically. The maximum power output was 175 kW at 12000 rpm, while the maximum torque output was 150.3 Nm at 9000 rpm. The bike had a six-speed transmission and the drive was through a chain. The front brakes consisted of two 360mm discs while the rear had a single 230mm disc. The tyres were 120/60 ZR17 and 200/50 ZR17 for front and rear respectively. The bike weighed 217 kg or 478 lbs.
