The New Page 1 motorcycle was introduced in 1998 and was designed with several unique features. It had a single-cylinder four-stroke engine that provided 17 horsepower, and could reach a top speed of around 70 miles per hour. The motorcycle also had a low seat height, making it ideal for shorter riders or beginners.
One of the most notable features of the New Page 1 was its front suspension system. It used a leading-link design that provided a smoother ride than traditional telescopic forks, and also offered improved stability during braking. The rear suspension consisted of a mono-shock that was adjustable for spring preload and rebound damping.
Other features of the New Page 1 included a six-speed transmission, a disc brake in the front and rear, and a lightweight aluminum frame. The motorcycle was also relatively affordable, with a price tag of around $4,000 when it was released.
Despite its unique design and features, the New Page 1 was not a commercial success. It was discontinued after just a few years, and today it is considered a curiosity in the world of motorcycles. However, it remains a testament to the creativity and innovation that can be found in the motorcycle industry.
