The Motus MST Prototype is a 2011 motorcycle powered by a four-stroke, 90 o V4 engine with a capacity of 1,645 cc. The engine is constructed of a 356-T6 cast aluminum block and heads, forged steel crank, cam, rods, and aluminum pistons with a linerless Nikasil bore. The bike has a firing order of 1-4-3-2 and a compression ratio of 11.5:1. It has a maximum power output of 120 kW / 161 hp at 7,800 rpm and a maximum torque of 165 Nm / 122 lb-ft at 4,500 rpm. The bike features a wet, multi-plate clutch and a 6-speed sequential gearbox with a chain drive. The chassis is a chromoly tubular trellis spaceframe with the engine as a stressed member. It has a rake of 26 o and a trail of 108 mm /4.25 in. The bike’s front suspension is a 43mm inverted telescopic fork that is fully adjustable, and the rear suspension is a twin spar chromoly swingarm with a fully adjustable pushrod monoshock with remote preload adjustment. The front brakes are 2 x 320 mm floating discs with 4-piston monoblock radial calipers, and the rear brake is a single disc with a 2-piston caliper. The front and rear wheels are 3.5 x 17 and 6.0 x 17, respectively, with Michelin Road Pilot 2CT tires. The bike has a seat height of 787mm / 31 in, a dry weight of 227 kg / 500 lbs, and a fuel capacity of 22.7 liters / 6.0 US gal / 5.0 Imp gal.
