The Matchless G45 was a motorcycle produced from 1951 to 1958, with less than 100 units made. It had a single cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine with a capacity of 498cc and a maximum power of 50 hp at 7000 rpm. The bike had a dry sump lubrication system and twin chrome silencer exhaust. It used Amal 930 concentric carburetors and a Lucas competition magneto for ignition, with a 6V battery and kick starting. The G45 had a 4-speed, close ratio transmission with a primary belt drive and chain final drive. It had a tubular cradle frame, AMC teledraulic front suspension, Dowty Oleomatic rear suspension, and drum brakes on both the front and rear wheels. The wheels were made of steel with laced wire spokes and the tires were 19 inches. The bike had a dry weight of 145 kg (320 lbs) and a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph). The color option was black.
