Maico M250 SC (1984)

The Maico M250 SC (Supercross) is a 1984 motorcycle with a single cylinder, two-stroke engine and a capacity of 247 cc / 15.1 cubic inches. It has a liquid cooling system, Bing carburetor type 54, 38mm, and a single aluminum silencer exhaust. The ignition is Motoplat and has a kick starting system, with a Champion NZ spark plug. The gearbox has 5-speed transmission with a final chain drive with adjustable rebound suspension from a single shock ~Ahlins to reduce impact shock. It also has a Front Suspension Telescopic fork, air/oil, 42mm with a 310mm/12.2in Front Wheel Travel and a Rear Suspension of Single shock, adjustable rebound with 325 mm/12.8 in Rear Wheel Travel. The motorcycle has a wet weight of 105 kg / 231 lbs and a fuel capacity of 9 L / 2.3 US gal. It has a ground clearance of 372 mm / 14.6 in, seat height of 960 mm / 38 in, a trail of 126mm/4.96 in, and a rake of 28.5 degrees. The front and back tires are Metzeler with 3.00 x 21 and 4.50 x 18 sizes respectively. The Dirt Bike review in June 1984 reported that the motorcycle had trusted handling while jumping but could be hard to start.
