The Maico Cross 500 is a single cylinder, two stroke motorcycle with a 499cc engine that was produced from 2003-07. It has a bore x stroke of 86.5 x 85 mm and is liquid cooled with a Bing 40 oval fuel system. The ignition is 12V 130W SEM and it has a kick starting system. The motorcycle has a Wet, multiplate clutch and a 5-speed transmission with chain final drive. It has a Chrom Molybd~An Rohr frame and WP 48 front suspension with 305 mm of travel and a MAICO Twin link Reiger shock rear suspension with 320 mm of travel. The front and rear brakes are single disc with 2-piston and 1-piston calipers respectively. The wheels are alloy with wire spokes and the front and rear rims are 1.60 x 21 in. and 2.15 x 18 in. respectively. The front tyre is 90/90-21 and the rear tyre is 140/80-18 with a wheelbase of 1480 mm and ground clearance of 388 mm. The seat height is 960 mm and the dry weight is 111 kg with a fuel capacity of 9.5 L.
