The Laverda SFC 1000 Prototype was a motorcycle produced in 2003, boasting a four-stroke, 60 degree V-twin engine with a displacement of 997.6cc. It had a liquid cooling system, multi-point electronic fuel injection, and a digital electronic ignition. The engine had a maximum power output of 98kW and a maximum torque of 105Nm. The six-speed transmission was driven by a chain. The bike’s front suspension was equipped with a 43mm Ohlins titanium nitride coated upside-down fork with an external adjustment system for rebound, compression, and preload. The rear suspension featured an aluminum alloy swing-arm with an Ohlins Racing hydraulic monoshock offering adjustable rebound, compression, and preload, with 135mm wheel travel. The front brakes comprised of two 320mm discs with four-piston calipers while the rear brakes were a single 220mm disc with a two-piston caliper. The motorcycle was fitted with a 120/70 ZR 17 front tyre and a 190/50 ZR 17 rear tyre.
