Laverda  125 LZ (1979-80)

The Laverda 125 LZ was a motorcycle produced by the Italian manufacturer Laverda from 1979 to 1980. It was a sports bike with a 125cc engine that produced 17 horsepower at 8,500 RPM. The engine was a four-stroke, air-cooled unit with a single overhead camshaft and two valves per cylinder. The LZ had a top speed of around 110 km/h (68 mph) and could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in around 15 seconds. It had a 5-speed transmission and a chain drive.

The frame of the LZ was made of steel tubes and had a telescopic fork at the front and twin shocks at the back. The brakes were single disc at the front and drum at the back. The fuel tank had a capacity of 14 liters (3.7 gallons) and the dry weight of the bike was 122 kg (269 lbs).

The LZ was a stylish bike with a low-slung seat and a half-fairing that featured a round headlight and a small windscreen. The bike had a black and silver color scheme with red accents. It was designed for spirited riding and was popular with younger riders who were looking for a sporty and affordable bike.
