The KTM Freeride 250 motorcycle was produced in 2016-17 and had a liquid-cooled, 249 cc four-stroke, single cylinder engine with a 12.3:1 compression ratio. The Keihin EFI system had a flow restrictor of 42 mm and the ignition was contactless and fully electronic. The bike had electric starting and a wet multi-disc clutch with a Brembo hydraulic system. The transmission was a claw-shifted six-speed, and final drive was chain with a primary ratio of 26:72. The frame was a perimeter steel-aluminum composite, and front suspension used WP Suspension4357 MXMA with 250 mm of travel. The rear suspension had a WP-PDS shock absorber and 280 mm of travel. The brakes were single-disc with 2 and 1 piston calipers for the front and rear, respectively. The front and rear tires were 80/100-21 and 110/90-19, respectively. The bike had a wheelbase of 1418 mm, a seat height of 915 mm, and a steering head angle of 67 degrees. The ground clearance was 325 mm and the dry weight was 92.5 kg, while the fuel capacity was 5.5 liters.
