The 2018 KTM 790 Duke, also known as “The Scalpel,” features a four stroke, parallel twin cylinder engine with a capacity of 799cc and a maximum power output of 78 kW/105 hp at 9000 rpm. The engine uses Dell Orto fuel-injection and Bosch EMS with RBW ignition. The motorcycle also features a PASC antihopping clutch, mechanically operated transmission, and chain final drive. The frame is constructed from Chromium-Molybdenum-Steel and uses the engine as a stressed element, while the suspension consists of a 43mm WP upside-down fork in the front and a WP shock absorber with preload adjuster in the rear. The braking system includes a two-channel Bosch 9MP ABS and 2x 300mm front discs/1x 240mm rear disc. The KTM 790 Duke’s wheels are made of cast aluminium and are paired with Maxxis Supermaxx ST tires. The bike is 2062mm in length, 904mm in width, and 1059mm in height, while the wheelbase is 1475 +/- 15mm. The seat height is 825mm, and the ground clearance is 186mm. The motorcycle weighs 169kg (372.5 lbs) dry and 174kg (383 lbs) wet with a fuel capacity of 14 liters (3.7 US gal).
