KTM 690 Duke (2015)

The KTM 690 Duke is a motorcycle with a four-stroke, single-cylinder, SOHC, 4-valve engine and a capacity of 690 cc. It has a bore and stroke of 102 x 84.5 mm, a liquid-cooled cooling system, and a compression ratio of 12.6:1. The exhaust features a stainless steel silencer with a regulated catalytic converter, and a wet sump lubrication system is used with synthetic, 15W-50 engine oil. Induction is provided by Generation Keihin EMS with EPT (Electric Power Throttle), ignition is through Kokusan DC-CDI, and the battery is 12 V / 11.2 Ah. The motorcycle has an electric starting system and a maximum power of 52.2 kW / 70 hp at 7500 rpm, and a maximum torque of 69.8 Nm / 7.1 kgf-m / 51.6 ft-lb at 6550 rpm. The transmission features a 6-speed gearbox with the final drive provided by a chain x-ring. The motorcycle has a chromoly trellis frame, powder-coated, aluminum subframe, with front and rear suspension provided by WP Upside-down forks, 4357 ROMA, and WP monoshock, 4618 with Pro-lever deflector, respectively. Braking is through a single 320 mm floating disc, radially screwed four-piston brake caliper at the front, along with a single 240 mm floating disc, single-piston caliper at the back. The motorcycle runs on cast aluminum wheels, 3.5 x 17″ at the front and 5.5 x 17″ at the rear, with 120/70 – ZR17 M/C 58W TL and 160/60 – ZR17 M/C 69W TL front and rear tires, respectively. It has a ground clearance of 192 mm / 7.6 in and a dry weight of 149.5 kg / 330 lbs. The fuel capacity of the motorcycle is 14 liters / 3.7 US gal / 3.1 Imp gal, and it has a fuel reserve of 3.2 L / 3.4 US qt / 2.8 Imp qt. The motorcycle has an average fuel consumption of 4.2 L/100 km, and can travel at a top speed of 202.9 km/h / 126 mph.
