The KTM 640 Duke II is a motorcycle produced in 2001-02 with a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine that has a capacity of 624.6cc and a compression ratio of 11.5:1. It features a Mikuni BST 40 carburetor and Kokusan contactless DC-CDI ignition. The bike has both electric and kick starting options, and a 12V 8Ah maintenance-free battery. The engine can produce 55hp at 7000rpm with a maximum torque of 60Nm at 5500rpm. It has a multi-disc clutch and a 5-speed transmission with a final drive ratio of 17:38. The frame is a central chrome-moly steel frame with adjustable front suspension (WP – 4054 Roma Top adjuster, preload, compression and rebound adjustable) and rear suspension (central shock absorber WP IBS with PRO-LEVER linkage to rear swing-arm with needle bearing). The bike has a single 320mm disc, 4-piston caliper front brake and a single 220mm disc, 1-piston caliper rear brake. The front and rear tires are respectively 120/70 ZR17 58H and 160/60 ZR17 69H with a wheelbase of 1460mm and a ground clearance of 250mm. The bike has a seat height of 860mm and dry weight of 145kg with a fuel capacity of 11.3L. It can reach a top speed of 101mph and complete a standing quarter-mile in 12.5 seconds.
