The KTM 450 EXC is a four-stroke, single cylinder, SOHC, 447.9 cc motorcycle with a 11.1:1 compression ratio and Keihin MX FCR 39 carburetor. It features an electric and kick start, a wet multi-disc clutch with hydraulic operation, and a 6-speed transmission with final drive ratio of 14:52. The frame is a central tube chrome-moly-steel frame and it has WP 4860 MA upside-down fork front suspension and a WP-PDS shock absorber with aluminum swingarm rear suspension. The front brakes contain a single 260 mm disc, floating caliper and the rear brakes have a single 220mm disc, floating caliper. It has a ground clearance of 380 mm and a dry weight of 113.5 kg with a fuel capacity of 9.0 L. The motorcycle is built for dirt biking and enduro racing with a comfortable seat height of 970 mm and a wheelbase of 1481 mm.
