The Kawasaki ZZR 1400 motorcycle (also known as ZX-14) was manufactured in 2012. It has a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder DOHC engine with a capacity of 1441 cc. The bore x stroke measures 84 x 65 mm, with a compression ratio of 12.3:1. The bike uses a wet sump lubrication system and DFI (R) with four 44mm Mikuni throttle bodies for induction. Ignition is via TCBI with digital advance, and the bike has an electric starter. The bike has an aluminium monocoque frame with a 43mm inverted cartridge fork on the front and a Uni-Trak (R) and gas-charged shock on the rear. The front brakes have 2x 310mm discs, and the rear has a single 250mm disc. The front tyre size is 120/70 ZR17, and the rear is 190/50 ZR17. The bike measures 2170 mm in length, 770 mm in width, and 1170 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1480 mm. It has a ground clearance of 125 mm, a seat height of 800 mm, and a wet weight of 264 kg. The fuel capacity is 22 litres.
