Kawasaki ZXR 750R (1994-95)

The Kawasaki ZXR 750R, also known as the ZX-R 750-L2-L3, was produced in 1994-95. It had a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder, DOHC engine with 4 valves per cylinder and a capacity of 749 cc. The compression ratio was 10.8:1 and it had a wet sump lubrication system. The induction system consisted of four 38 mm Keihin CVKD carburettors and a ram air system with a single intake. It had a digital ignition system and an electric starter. The maximum power output was 118 hp at 10500 rpm and the maximum torque was 7.51 kgf-m at 9750 rpm. The clutch was a multi-plate wet hydraulic slipper clutch, and the transmission had six speeds. The frame was made of aluminum perimeter and the front suspension had 41mm upside-down forks with adjustable ride height and 13-way rebound. The rear suspension was a unit track monoshock with adjustable ride height, preload, and 4-way rebound. The front brakes consisted of two 320mm discs with 4-piston calipers and the rear brake was a single 230mm disc with a 2-piston caliper. The front tire was sized 120/70 ZR17 and the rear tire was 180/55ZR17 with a standard pressure of 41psi. The dry weight was 205 kg and the wet weight was 221.6 kg. The fuel capacity was 18 liters, and the average consumption was 16.3 km per liter. The top speed was 258.1 km/h and it could go from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.7 seconds. The Kawasaki ZXR 750R was reviewed in the Motociclismo 1989 and Motosprint Group Test 1993.
