Kawasaki ZX10R (2005)

The Kawasaki Z-X10R Ninja was a motorcycle produced in 2005. It had a four-stroke transverse four-cylinder DOHC engine with 4 valves per cylinder and a 998cc capacity. Cooling was through a liquid-cooling system, and the compression ratio was 12.7:1. Ignition was via TCBI with digital advance, and the engine used synthetic 10W/40 oil. The bike had a maximum power of 175 hp at 11700 rpm and maximum torque of 115 Nm at 9500 rpm. Transmission was six-speed, and the final drive was via a chain. The frame was an all-aluminum twin-tube backbone, and the front suspension consisted of a 43mm inverted fork with top-out springs with 16-way compression damping, 16-way rebound damping, and fully adjustable spring preload with 119mm front wheel travel. The rear suspension was a Bottom-Link Uni-Trak with a gas-charged shock and top-out spring with stepless compression damping, stepless rebound damping, and fully adjustable spring preload with 125mm rear wheel travel. The front brakes were two 300mm discs with four-piston calipers, while the rear brake was a single 220mm disc. The bike had a top speed of 290.6 km/h and could cover a standing 1/4 mile in 10.6 seconds. It weighed 170 kg and had a fuel capacity of 17 litres, achieving an average consumption of 16.1 km/lit. The bike had a rake of 24 degrees, trail of 102mm, ground clearance of 120mm, seat height of 826mm, and dimensions of length 2065mm, width 705mm, and height 1130mm.
