Kawasaki ZX (2008)

The Kawasaki ZX-6R Special Edition motorcycle was introduced in 2008 and had a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 599cc. It had a high compression ratio of 13.9:1 and was liquid-cooled with DFI induction. The motorcycle had an electric start and a wet, multiple disc clutch. The gearbox was six-speed with X-ring chain final drive. The frame was a lightweight, pressed-aluminum perimeter design. The front and rear suspension were adjustable for preload, damping, and compression, and it had 2 x 300mm front discs and a single 210mm rear disc brake. The tires were 120/65 ZR17 on the front and 180/55 ZR17 on the rear. The motorcycle weighed 190 kg when wet and had a fuel capacity of 17 liters. It had a maximum power output of 91.9 kW (125 hp) at 14,000 RPM and a top speed of 252.1 km/h (156.4 mph). The Kawasaki ZX-6R Special Edition had a standing quarter-mile time of 11.2 seconds.
