The Kawasaki ZL 600 Eliminator was produced from 1986 to 1991 and was equipped with a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder engine with DOHC and four valves per cylinder. With a displacement of 592 cc, the bike had a compression ratio of 11.0:1 and came standard with a 4x 30mm Keihin CV induction system and solid-state digital ignition. The motorcycle produced a maximum power of 74 hp and maximum torque of 53.8 Nm.
The bike had a six-speed transmission coupled with a shaft final drive. The front suspension was equipped with 37mm Kayaba air-assisted forks, and the rear suspension featured dual shocks adjustable for rebound and preload damping. The stopping power was provided by a single 280mm disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. The front and rear wheels had a tyre size of 100/90-18 and 150/80-15 respectively.
The Kawasaki ZL 600 Eliminator had a seat height of 715 mm and a wet weight of 209 kg. The bike had a fuel capacity of 12 litres and, on average, had a fuel consumption of 43 mpg. It was capable of reaching a top speed of 181.6 km/h and completing a standing quarter-mile in 12.2 seconds at a speed of 106.7 mph.
