The Kawasaki Z400GP, also known as the GPz 400, was a motorcycle produced in 1982. Its engine was a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder model with dual overhead cams and two valves per cylinder. Its capacity was 399 cubic centimeters, with a bore and stroke of 52 by 47 millimeters, and a compression ratio of 9.5:1. The Z400GP was cooled by air and had a 6-speed transmission with a chain final drive. It also featured 4 x 21mm Teir-Kei carburetors and CDI ignition, with an electric start.
