The Kawasaki KDX 250 was a two stroke, single cylinder, reed valve engine motorcycle produced in 1981 and 1982. The bike had a 249cc capacity and a compression ratio of 8.2:1. The 36mm Mikuni carburetor provided the bike with air cooling, and CDI ignition allowed it to kick start. The KDX250 had a maximum output of 33 horsepower at 7000 rpm and a maximum torque of 3.5 kgf-m at 6500 rpm. It had a 6-speed transmission with a final drive of a chain. The front suspension included telescopic forks and the rear suspension featured a Mono Shock. The front and rear brakes consisted of drum brakes. The bike had a wheelbase of 1475 mm and a seat height of 935 mm with a dry weight of 111 kg. Its fuel capacity was set at 12.5 litres or 3.3 US gallons.
