Kawasaki GTR1000 (1997-00)

The Kawasaki GTR1000, also known as the ZG 1000 Concours, was produced from 1997 to 2000. It was equipped with a four-stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC engine with 4 valves per cylinder and a capacity of 997cc. The bike had a liquid cooling system, 4x32mm Keihin CV carburetors, electronic ignition and an electric starting system. The maximum power output was 110 hp at 9500 rpm, while the maximum torque was 10 kgf-m at 6500 rpm. The transmission system had 6 speeds and the final drive was through a shaft. The front suspension system included a 41mm telescopic, air-assisted adjustable preload, while the rear suspension was UNI-TRAK with adjustable preload, rebound damping, and air pressure. The front and rear brakes were equipped with 1 piston calipers, with the front having 2x272mm discs and the rear having a single 280mm disc. The bike had a wheelbase of 1554 mm, a seat height of 797 mm and a dry weight of 270 kg. The fuel tank had a capacity of 28.5 Litres and the average fuel consumption was 14.0 km/lit. The bike had a top speed of 216.0 km/h and was able to reach the standing quarter-mile in 11.7 seconds, with a speed of 180.7 km/h. The bike was able to brake from 60-0 in 15.1 m and from 100-0 in 39.8 m.
