Kawasaki GPz900R Ninja (1991-96)

The Kawasaki GPz 900 Ninja, also known as the ZX900R Ninja, was a motorcycle produced from 1991 to 1996. It featured a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder, DOHC engine with 4 valves per cylinder and a capacity of 908 cc. The cooling system was liquid cooled, and the compression ratio was 11.0:1. The induction system was comprised of 4x 34mm Keihin CVK34 carburettors, and the ignition was battery-driven and fully electronic. The bike had a 6-speed transmission, with a final drive of chain. The frame was constructed from iron, with a double-cradle design. The bike’s suspension system featured 41mm telescopic forks with air-assisted four-way anti-dive on the front and a Uni-Trak air-assisted, single shock 4-way adjustable damping on the rear. Braking was provided by a double-disc system on the front and a single-disc system on the rear, both with piston calipers. The bike weighed 228 kg (502 lbs) and had a fuel capacity of 22 litres (5.8 US gallons). It had an average fuel consumption of 40.8 mpg, and could reach a top speed of 248.4 km/h (155 mph).
