The Kawasaki GPX 600R Ninja (ZX 600R) was a motorcycle manufactured between the years of 1987-88. The bike featured a liquid-cooled, transverse four-cylinder DOHC engine with 4 valves per cylinder and a 598cc capacity. Its induction system consisted of 4x 32mm Keihin CV carburetors and digital ignition with an electric start. The bike produced a maximum power of 84hp at 11,000rpm and maximum torque of 42ft-lbs at 9,000rpm. The transmission was a 6-speed manual and the final drive was a chain. The bike had a front suspension of 38mm telescopic with electronic anti-drive and a rear suspension of rising rate monoshock with adjustable preload and rebounding preload. The front brakes were 2x 270mm discs and the rear brake was a single 130mm disc.
The bike had a seat height of 760mm and a dry weight of 180kg. The fuel capacity was 19.5 litres and the average consumption was 19.2km/lit. The braking distance from 60-0mph was 13.1m and from 100-0mph was 39.9m. The standing 1/4 mile time was 11.7 seconds with a top speed of 226.8km/h or 140.9mph. Overall, the Kawasaki GPX 600R Ninja was a powerful and versatile motorcycle that could accelerate quickly, had good handling, and was comfortable to ride.
