The Husqvarna SM 450R was a motorcycle model produced between 2004 and 2005. It had a four stroke, single cylinder, DOHC, 4 valve engine with a capacity of 449cc. The bike came with a 41mm Mikuni TMR Carburettor and digital CDI ignition system. It had both electric and kicker starting options. The maximum power output was 46.9hp at 8500 rpm, while the maximum torque was 41.5Nm at 7000 rpm. It had a wet, multiple discs, cable operated clutch and a 6-speed transmission. The final drive was through a chain, while the suspension system featured a Marzocchi ‘Upside-Down’ front fork and Sachs progressive ‘Soft Damp’ type rear shock absorber with adjustment options. The front and rear brakes were both single disc, with the front being 320mm and the rear 220mm. The front and rear tires measured 120/70-17 and 150/60-17 respectively. The bike had a steel single tube cradle frame with a rear frame in light alloy. The wheelbase was 1495mm, while the seat height stood at 850mm. It weighed 120 kg and had a fuel capacity of 9.2 liters.
