The Honda XL 250 was a motorcycle model manufactured between 1972-73. Equipped with a four-stroke, single-cylinder, OHC engine that produced 20hp @ 8000 rpm, it had a capacity of 248 cc / 15.1 cu-in with a bore x stroke of 74 X 57.8 mm. The bike was cooled by an air-cooling system and had a compression ratio of 9.1:1. The ignition system used battery and coil while the starting mechanism was kick-start. The bike was equipped with a multiple disc in oil bath clutch and had a 5-speed transmission serving the final chain drive. The frame was a semi-double cradle with telescopic forks for the front suspension and a swinging fork for the rear suspension. The front and rear brake systems used drum brakes with 150 mm and 140 mm drums respectively. The bike weighed 135.6 kg / 299 lbs and had a fuel capacity of 9.5 litres / 1.7 gal.
