The Honda NSR 125R-R motorcycle model for the year 2000 features a two-stroke, single cylinder, Reed valve induction engine with a capacity of 124.8 cc. It has a liquid cooling system and 28mm Dell’Orto induction. Its ignition is capacitor discharge electronic ignition and it has both electric and kick starting options. The motorcycle has 100/80-17 front tyres and 130/70-17 rear tyres. Its dry weight is 127 kg and it has a fuel capacity of 13 litres. The motorcycle was tested by Motosprint in 1993.
