The Honda NSR125R-R is a motorcycle produced in 1997 with a two-stroke, single-cylinder, reed valve induction engine with a capacity of 124.8cc. It has a liquid cooling system and an induction of 28mm Dell’Orto carburettor. The bike has a capacitor discharge electronic ignition and can start with both electric and kick start. The maximum power is 12 horsepower at 9500rpm and the maximum torque is 15 Nm at 8000rpm. It has a multi-disc oil bath clutch and a 6-speed transmission that uses a chain to drive the bike. The front suspension has 35mm Showa telescopic forks while the rear suspension is a pro-link rising rate adjustable preload. The bike has a single 316mm disc with 2 piston caliper front brakes, and a single 220mm disc with 2 piston caliper rear brakes. The front and rear tyres are 100/80-17 and 130/70-17 respectively. The dry weight of the bike is 127kg and its fuel capacity is 13 litres or 3.8 US gallons. The bike was road tested in Motosprint in 1993.
