The Honda CRF 450X was a 4-stroke, single cylinder, liquid-cooled motorcycle produced in 2005 and 2006. It had a 449cc engine with a bore x stroke of 96 x 62mm and a compression ratio of 12.0:1. The bike had a Keihin 40mm flat-slide induction and was capable of producing 44.8 hp at 7500 rpm and a torque of 43 Nm at 7000 rpm. The CRF 450X was equipped with an electric start system and a wet sump lubrication system. The bike had a five-speed transmission with a wet, multiple-disc clutch. The front suspension of the CRF 450X was an inverted, fully adjustable 47mm Showa cartridge forks with 16-way rebound settings and 16-way compression. The rear suspension was a Pro-Link Showa single shock with 312mm of travel, 17-way rebound settings, 13 low-speed compression settings, and 3.5 turns of high-speed compression adjustment. The bike had single 240mm disc brakes on both the front and rear and #520 chain; 14T/40T final drive. The dimensions of the CRF 450X were length: 2178 mm, width: 821 mm, height: 1273 mm, wheelbase: 1480 mm, seat height: 963 mm, and the dry weight was 113 kg with a fuel capacity of 7.2 liters.
