Harley Davidson FXE 1340 Super Glide 1981 (1980-83)

Harley Davidson released their FXE 1340 Super Glide motorcycle from 1980 to 1983. It featured a 45 degrees V-Twin four-stroke engine with two valves per cylinder and a capacity of 1337 cc or 81.5 cu-in. The bike’s air-cooled engine had a compression ratio of 7.4:1 and used a 38mm Keihin carburetor for induction. The Super Glide produced a maximum power of 67 hp or 48.9 kW at 5800 rpm and a maximum torque of 90.8 Nm or 67 lb.-ft. at 3600 rpm. It had an electronic ignition system and an electric starting mechanism.

The FXE 1340 Super Glide came with a four-speed transmission and a chain for final drive. It had dual hydraulic forks for the front suspension and dual shocks swinging arm fork for the rear suspension. The motorcycle’s front brakes featured two 254mm discs, while the rear brake had a single 292mm disc. It had front and rear tires, with measurements of MJ 90-19 and MT 90-16, respectively.
