The Cagiva Elefant 900C CAT motorcycle was produced in 1994 and featured a 904cc four-stroke L-twin cylinder engine with a compression ratio of 9.2:1. It also had Mikuni BDST 38 carburetors and a Marelli electronic inductive discharge ignition. The bike had a maximum power output of 95 horsepower at 8500 rpm and a maximum torque of 78 Nm at 5250 rpm. The clutch was a dry multi-disc and the bike had a six-speed transmission and a chain final drive. The frame was a double steel tubular cradle and the bike had front and rear suspension with adjustable preload. It had two front 282mm discs with four-piston calipers and a single 240mm disc with four-piston caliper in the rear. The front and rear tire sizes were 100/90-19 and 140/80-17, respectively. The bike was 2295 mm long, 860 mm wide, and 970 mm high with a wheelbase of 1570 mm and a seat height of 857 mm. Its ground clearance was 260 mm and it weighed 204 kg. The fuel tank capacity was 22 litres and it had an average fuel consumption of 38.0 mpg. The standing quarter-mile time was 13.2 seconds at 95.5 mph and it had a top speed of 183.4 km/h or 114 mph. Motosprint 1993 conducted a road test of the Cagiva Elefant 900C CAT.
