The Cagiva Alazzurra 650SS was manufactured between 1985 and 1991. It featured a four-stroke, 650cc engine with a 90-degree L-twin cylinder and SOHC desmodromic 2 valve per cylinder system. The bike’s bore and stroke measured 82 x 62.5 mm and it was air-cooled, with a compression ratio of 10.0:1. The Alazzurra was powered by 2x 36mm Dell’Orto PHF carburetors and had a Bosch BTZ ignition system.
The motorcycle had a maximum power of 55 hp / 39 kW at 8500 rpm and a maximum torque of 50 Nm / 36.8 lb-ft at 7000 rpm. It had a 5-speed transmission and a final chain drive. The front suspension was equipped with 35mm Marzocchi forks while the rear suspension featured dual Marzocchi shocks which were 5-way adjustable for preload.
The front brakes consisted of 2x 260mm discs while the rear featured a single 260mm disc. The wheels of the Alazzurra were fitted with 110/90 H18 tires both front and rear. The motorcycle had a wheelbase of 1460mm / 57.4 in with a seat height of 800mm / 31.5 in. The dry weight of the bike was 190kg / 418.8 lbs and the fuel capacity was 19.3 liters / 5.0 US gallons.
