The BSA Sunbeam (Triumph Tigress) is a motorcycle produced from 1959 to 1961 with a twin 4-stroke engine and a capacity of 250 cc. There is also a 175 cc version available. The carburetor used is a Zenith 18 MXZ and the cooling system is air cooled. The lubrication is dry sump with an oil capacity of 1.4 L. The exhaust is a single, stainless steel pipe and the ignition system is twin coil. The Sunbeam is equipped with a Champion L7 spark plug with a gap of 0.020 in. It has a 12V battery and uses a kick start (some models were fitted with an electric start) for starting. The clutch is a dry, single plate with a 4-speed transmission and a chain final drive. The frame is made of pressed sheet metal and the front suspension has 2 telescopic legs mounted side by side on the left-hand side while the rear suspension is a swinging arm. The front and rear brakes are both drums, and the wheels are steel and interchangeable. The average fuel consumption is 2.4 L/100 km and the top speed is 97 km/h. It comes in two colours: polychromatic green and red/beige.
