Brammo Empulse LE (2014)

The Brammo Empulse Police LE is a motorcycle released in 2014, with an electric engine powered by a Brammo Powerc BPM15/90 Lithium-Ion battery pack that holds a 9.31kWh nominal capacity and a 10.2kWh maximum capacity. Recharge time ranges from 2.0 hours for typical Level II charging to 8.0 hours for maximum Level I charging. The battery has an approximate lifespan of 1,500 cycles, around 100,000 miles to 80% initial capacity. The bike has a maximum power output of 40 kW/54 hp, a maximum torque of 90 Nm/66.4 ft.lb, and a 6-speed IET transmission. It has a lightweight aluminum frame, a rake of 24 degrees, and a 1473 mm wheelbase. The Empulse LE features front and rear suspension, dual front brakes with twin four-piston hydraulic calipers, and a single rear brake with a dual-piston hydraulic caliper. It has a regenerative braking system that returns energy to the battery system while decelerating. The driving range is approximately 121 miles in the city, 56 miles on the highway, and 77 miles combined. It has a top speed of 169 km/h or 105 mph.
