Brammo Empulse (2014)

The Brammo Empulse is a motorcycle that was released in 2014. It is powered by a Permanent Magnet AC motor with a throttle system that is “ride by wire”. The battery is a Brammo Powerc BPM15/90 Lithium-Ion battery pack with a nominal capacity of 9.31 kWh and a maximum capacity of 10.2 kWh. The recharge time varies from 2 to 8 hours depending on the charging level used. The motorcycle has a multi-plate hydraulic activated wet clutch and a 6-speed transmission. The final drive is a chain with a 520 O-ring and has a 14:48 ratio. The frame is made of Brammo E-Beam Aluminum, which is lightweight extruded and welded aluminum that serves as the battery tray. The rake is 24 degrees, and the trail is 97 mm. The front suspension is semi-adjustable, while the rear suspension is a tubular steel swingarm. The front brakes are dual 310mm Brembo floating disks with twin four-piston hydraulic Brembo brake calipers, while the rear brake is a Brembo single disk with a dual-piston hydraulic Brembo brake caliper. The motorcycle has a regenerative braking system that returns energy to the battery system under deceleration. The driving range for the motorcycle is 128 miles in the city, 58 miles on the highway, and 80 miles combined. It has a top speed of 110 mph, and it comes in two colors, true blood red and eclipsed black.
