Brammo Empulse (2012)

The Brammo Empulse is a 2012 electric motorcycle that uses a high output sealed brushless permanent magnet AC motor and Brammo Power c Lithium-Ion NCM battery pack. It has a capacity of 6.2 kWh and can be fully charged in approximately 7.5 hours from 0% SOC. The battery pack has a lifespan of 1,500 cycles to 80% initial capacity. The motorcycle has an electric starting system, delivers a max power of 13 kW / 17 hp @ 4500 rpm, and a max torque of 40 Nm @ 0 – 1450 rpm. It has a clutchless transmission and a lightweight extruded and welded aluminum frame that serves as a battery tray. The front suspension is a Marzocchi Shiver hydraulic USD with compression damping adjustment and the rear suspension is a Works Performance hydraulic with pre-load and rebound damping adjustment. The front and rear brakes are hydraulic Brembo brakes, and it has cast aluminum wheels. The motorcycle weighs 150 kg / 330 lbs and has a driving range of 80 miles/129 km in the city, 45 miles/72 km at 55 mph/88 km/h on the highway, and a combined range of 57.6 miles/93 km. The top speed is 95 km/h / 60 mph. It also features regenerative braking, which returns energy to the battery system, extending driving range and providing rider feedback.
