BMW S 1000RR (2019)

The BMW S 1000RR (2019) is a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder motorcycle with a 999 cc engine and a capacity of 60.9 cu-in. Its valve acceleration is via individual rocker arms and variable intake camshaft control system BMW ShiftCam, and it has a compression ratio of 13.3:1. The bike’s cooling system is liquid-cooled, and it runs on premium unleaded petrol with an octane number of 95-98. It features a self-reinforcing multi-plate anti-hopping wet clutch, a constant-mesh six-speed gearbox, and a chain final drive. The bike has an aluminium composite bridge frame and an upside-down telescopic fork front suspension with slide tube diameter 45 mm. At the back, the bike has an aluminium underslung double-sided swinging arm with central spring strut. The wheels of the bike come in three options: die-cast aluminium, forged aluminium, and carbon fibre.

The bike measures 2073 mm in length and 846 mm in width with mirrors, and it has a wheelbase of 1441 mm. The seat height is 824 mm, and the bike’s weight ranges from 193.5 kg to 197 kg, depending on the option selected. The BMW S 1000RR has two 320mm floating disc front brakes with radial 4-piston fixed calipers and a single 220 mm disk rear brake with a single-piston floating caliper. It is equipped with BMW Motorrad ABS Pro, part integral and disengageable, and BMW Motorrad DTC traction control. The bike has a 16.5-litres fuel tank and a maximum power of 152 kW or 207 hp at 13500 rpm, with a maximum torque of 113 Nm or 83.3 lb-ft at 10500 rpm.
