BMW R1200GS (2004)

The BMW R1200GS was first introduced in 2004 and quickly gained popularity among adventure motorcycle enthusiasts. The bike featured a 1,170 cc engine with 100 horsepower and 85 lb-ft of torque. It also had a unique Telelever front suspension system that provided smooth handling on both on-road and off-road conditions.

The R1200GS had a fuel tank capacity of 33 liters, allowing for long-distance rides without having to constantly stop to refuel. It also had a comfortable seat and adjustable windscreen, making it ideal for extended trips.

Other notable features of the R1200GS included a full fairing to protect the rider from wind and debris, as well as an advanced ABS braking system. BMW also offered several optional upgrades, such as heated grips, a luggage rack, and a top case for increased storage.

Despite its size and weight (weighing in at 505 pounds), the R1200GS was known for its agility and maneuverability, especially off-road. Many riders praised its ability to handle rough terrain and steep inclines with ease.

Over the years, BMW continued to make improvements and updates to the R1200GS, including an increase in engine size, improved suspension, and advanced technology features such as traction control and electronic suspension adjustment. Today, the R1200GS remains a popular choice for adventure riders worldwide.
