BMW R1150GS (2002)

The 2002 BMW R1150GS is a versatile adventure touring motorcycle. It has a 1,130cc horizontally opposed twin engine that produces 85 horsepower and 72 lb-ft of torque. The engine is reliable and has a decent amount of power for long-distance rides or off-road adventures.

The R1150GS also features a Telelever front suspension and Paralever rear suspension, which help provide a smooth and stable ride on both paved and unpaved roads. It also has a comfortable riding position with adjustable handlebars and an adjustable seat height.

Other features include a large fuel tank with a capacity of 22 liters, heated grips, and a windshield that can be easily adjusted for different riding conditions. The bike also has ample storage space with hard saddlebags and a top case.

However, the R1150GS is not without its drawbacks. Some riders have reported issues with the braking system, specifically with the ABS system. The bike is also quite heavy, weighing in at 571 lbs (259 kg), which can make it more difficult to maneuver in tight spaces or on rough terrain.

Overall, the BMW R1150GS is a reliable and comfortable adventure touring motorcycle that can handle a variety of riding conditions. While it may have some downsides, it is still a popular choice for riders who value versatility and comfort on long, adventurous rides.
