BMW R nineT (2015-16)

The BMW R NineT motorcycle was produced between 2015-2016 with a four-stroke, two-cylinder horizontally opposed boxer engine that had four radially aligned valves per cylinder, two camshafts, and a central counterbalance shaft. The engine was air/oil cooled with a 1170 cc capacity and a compression ratio of 12.0:1. The bike had electronic intake pipe injection and a three-phase alternator of 600 W. The motorcycle boasted a max power of 81 kW/ 110 HP @ 7550 rpm with a max torque of 119 Nm/ 88 lb-ft @ 6000 rpm. It had a shaft final drive and a constant mesh 6-speed transmission with a single dry plate clutch hydraulically operated. The BMW R NineT had a four-section frame with one front and three rear sections, a load-bearing engine-gearbox unit, and a removable pillion frame. The front suspension consisted of an upside-down telescopic fork with a 46 mm diameter, while the rear suspension had a cast-aluminum single-sided swing arm with BMW Motorrad Paralever. The BMW Motorrad ABS, two 320mm floating brake discs with 4 piston radial calipers in the front, and a single 265mm disc with 2 piston floating caliper in the rear. The motorcycle weighed 222 kg/ 489 lb with a fuel capacity of 18 Litres/ 4.8 US gal and a reserve of 3 Litres/0.8 gal. The bike measured 2220 mm/ 87.4 in in length, 890 mm/ 35.0 in in width (incl. mirrors), and a height of 1265 mm/ 59.8 in (excl. mirrors). A 784.8 mm/ 30.9 in seat height was included along with a standard GVWR of 430 kg/ 948 lbs.
