The BMW R 1200ST Special Edition motorcycle was released in 2007 with a four-stroke, two-cylinder horizontally opposed Boxer engine and a capacity of 1170 cc/71.4 cu in. It has a compression ratio of 11.0:1, BMW engine management, BMS-K induction, digital engine management ignition and electric starting. The bike also features a single dry plate clutch with hydraulic transmission, six-speed transmission and a system enclosed driveshaft with two universal joints for final drive.
