In 2008, Benelli released the BX 449 Cross motorcycle featuring a four-stroke, single-cylinder engine with a capacity of 449cc. With a compression ratio of 12.5:1 and an electronic injection-throttle body of 42mm, the bike delivers a maximum power of 41.3 kW at 9500 rpm and a maximum torque of 45 Nm at 7000 rpm.
