The Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille motorcycle was launched in 1999 and featured a four-stroke longitudinal 60 degrees V twin engine with DOHC, fuel injection, and 997.6 cc capacity that could produce a maximum power of 128 hp at 9500 rpm. The bike had Upside-down Ahlins fork front suspension and a swing arm in an aluminum alloy rear suspension with progressive linkage and Ahlins Racing hydraulic shock absorber. The front and rear brakes were 2x320mm discs, 4 piston calipers, and a single 220mm disc, 2 piston caliper, respectively. The motorcycle weighed 189 kg dry and 220 kg wet with a fuel capacity of 20 L and 5.2 US gallons. The Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille was able to hit a top speed of 272 km/h and complete the standing 1/4 mile in 10.9 seconds. The motorcycle was reviewed positively by Motorcycle News.
