The Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille R Nera was produced in a limited edition of 200 units in 2004. It has a four-stroke, longitudinal 60 degrees V-twin engine with a capacity of 997.6 cc and a compression ratio of 11.8:1. The engine has an integrated electronic management system and indirect multipoint electronic injection, and produces a max power of 102 kW/139hp at 9500 rpm and a max torque of 107 Nm at 7500 rpm. The motorcycle has a six-speed transmission and a chain final drive. The frame is a box section sloping twin-spar aluminium alloy frame, and the suspension includes Showa 43 mm diameter upside-down fork and an aluminium alloy double banana swing arm, with a Sachs hydraulic shock-absorber at the rear. The motorcycle comes with 2 x 320 mm front discs and a 220mm rear disc for brakes. The wheelbase sits at 1415mm and the seat height at 810 mm with a fuel capacity of 18 Litres. The motorcycle has a claimed horsepower and hydraulic clutch capability. Other key features include a top speed of 278 km/h and an acceleration of 60-140 km/h in 10.2 seconds.
