Aprilia RS 250 (1996-97)

The Aprilia RS 250 was a motorcycle produced in 1996-97, featuring a two-stroke, 90-degree V-twin cylinder engine with laminar suction and exhaust valve. The engine capacity was 249cc and the compression ratio was 12.00 (+/-0.7):1 with oil pump lubrication. The bike had a CDI ignition and a kick-start, with a maximum power of 52.9 kW / 72.5 hp at 11900 rpm and maximum torque of 40 Nm / 4.08 kgf-m / 29.5 lb/ft at 10750 rpm. The transmission included six speeds, direct drive, and a final drive chain with a ratio of 14:42 (1:3.0). The front suspension was an ~A40 mm inverted fork with adjustable rebound and compression damping, while the rear suspension featured a monoshock with a reservoir, adjustable extension, compression, and spring preloading. The front wheel had two ~A298 mm discs and four-piston calipers, while the rear wheel had a single ~A220 mm disc and a two-piston caliper. Braking tests showed a stopping distance of 12.9 meters from 60 km/h and 36.8 meters from 100 km/h. The bike could reach a top speed of 209.5 km/h / 130.2 mph, as tested by Tuttomoto.
